Summer Stampede Race Rules The Sunstroke Summer Stampede is a series of 12 chip-timed 5k races in the heat of Austin, Texas. Awards will be given out for each race in 5 year age groups. Click here to find out more. At the end of the series the leaders in each age group category will receive an overall series award. In order to be eligible for a end-of-series award, you must complete 8 of the 12 races while wearing a Champion Chip. Your best 8 times will be used to calculate the overall winners in each division. Your age for the overall series awards will be based on how old you are on August 3rd, 2006. Dogs and strollers are welcome, but are required to start in the back.
